Super Size Your Character!!
The seventh grade math students learned to super – size their characters! The students choose a picture to enlarge as a culminating activity after completing a unit on similar shapes. They used the coordinate graphing system to identify the scale factor, compare a pair of corresponding angles, and compare two corresponding areas within the drawings. The students showed great enthusiasm as they watched the transformation of their characters.
